There are a few places today intact by centuries passed and the historic olive oil mill in the village of Orasac is certainly one of them. Just a 20-minute drive from Dubrovnik, you will witness an ancient production where the horse pulls the grinding stone, pressing precious oil from olives. Glorify this moment further with some homemade prosciutto and cheese from oil and then head out to the town of Ston.
At the entrance to the peninsula of Peljesac, a 5 km-long stone walls of Ston protected its historic salt pans. Today, salt production is still a thing and, if visiting during summer, you will witness this production.
